Through his works, he strives to destigmatize the use of cannabis and educate others about how medicinal cannabis is a viable alternative to traditional medications–even opiates.

Dr. Dawson’s Story

Due to various health issues, Dr. Dawson spent years dependent on opiates for chronic pain management. Eventually, these medications led to additional, severe health issues, urging him to find a safer alternative to traditional pharmaceuticals.

In his search for options, Dawson found that medicinal cannabis not only relieved his pain but also treated his four-decade opiate addiction. This led to him researching further the intricacies of medicinal cannabis, which then led to the study of how the modulation of the endocannabinoid system might support patients with other debilitating health issues. A number of therapeutic strategies can be developed using this research, highlighting the powerful potential of endocannabinoid science.
